Record when cracks are stabilised and monitor them to ensure effectiveness. Stabilising cracks to prevent growth avoids the need for expensive and technically difficult maintenance welding of crack repairs. WQMS provides the technical procedures and training for your staff to stabilise cracking where appropriate.

Identify "hot spots" by aggregating cracking data from many wagons. Establish cracking relative to service hours, operational exposure, or specific manufacturing issue. Determine repair and stabilisation effectiveness and ensure that you are getting maximum performance from your wagons.
Wagon Inspector app
Inspections are done in-house by maintainers or your preferred NDT provider, recording structural cracking or damage using the Wagon Inspector app on a mobile device (phone or tablet). WQMS supplies a ruggedized tablet that is set-up and ready for use.
Defects are precisely mapped to the wagon structure, and cracks are recorded using the Crack Data System nomenclature. WQMS also provides training for identification and interpretation of cracking.
Each crack is tracked and monitored over time. Anything that is missed or not inspected is also recorded so you can plan for reinspection. Custom inspection scopes can be set to align with the scheduled maintenance regime.
Wagon Structural - Dashboard
Wagon Structural dashboard is a web based app for asset managers (engineering, reliability, superintendents) to see the health of their wagon fleet at a glance and quickly identify risks and problem areas. Rather than pdf reports, or being buried in CMMS work orders, all the crack data is presented in an easy to use format.
The 1st tab is the Dashboard, which provides a high level overview of fleet health and so you can rapidly drill down to areas of concern.
The 2nd tab is Inspections. View all the inspection data, update details, or upload additional photographs. You can also open the inspection workspace to create new inspections and add inspection data.
The 3rd tab is Current Defects. Find any defect, see exactly where it is, and see photos. Update a defect as stabilised or repaired once work has been completed.
The 4th tab is the "Hot Spots". Crack data is aggregated across the whole fleet to show exactly where the problem areas are.
The 5th tab is Wagon Health. Here you can see the health of any individual wagon, and view the full inspection and repair history.
The 6th tab is Repaired. Here you can see all defects that have been repaired or stabilised.
