Crack Depth Meter

Assessing crack depth is an often overlooked aspect of equipment inspections. Knowing the general depth of a crack relative to the material thickness is essential for risk management. - Shallow, Partial or Full thickness.

This is why crack depth  is  reported in the Crack Data System nomenclature.

People often think that crack depth can only be done using Ultrasonic Testing, and often the equipment and a trained technician are not available to measure crack depth.  An alternative is ACFM, but this is also expensive and requires advanced operator training.

For the simple measurement depth of cracks of any type and in any location, we recommend the Crack Depth Meter.

It is simple to use and requires no formal qualification. All that is required is a clean bare metal surface in order to get a reading.
