It is essential that anyone that uses the Weld-Hit is properly trained and competent for the task.
WARNING:
Results of Inter-run or HFMI peening may be ineffective if not done by a competent person.
Serious (and costly to fix) damage can be done to the structure/component if peening is applied incorrectly
With every purchase of a Weld-Hit kit, WQMS provides a comprehensive competency training and assessment package for Inter-run and HFMI Peening.
Competency records are issued and maintained via the MWC Portal.
This is a self managed delivery process, as detailed in the following document.
Links below are for the recording knowledge and practical assessment evidence. WQMS will issue a certificate once these are completed by each Weld-Hit operator.
NOTE: The practical assessment can be done for one or both of Inter-run and HFMI peening, based on what they will be required to be using the Weld-Hit for.
Knowledge Evidence (also accessible via the last slide of the training)
